Today was my first day as both a student and a teacher. Granted, every parent, whether they realize it or not, is a teacher to their children. However, today was my first "official" day of teaching my daughter while also beginning Spring semester at my own university.
I am a 23 year old college student and mother of two. After trying a semester of having my oldest child in preschool, I've finally decided to step up to the plate and start teaching her at home. I'm starting this blog to catalogue our experiences so that any other families in similar situations might be able to take heart - or perhaps to take caution.
Between studying for my Mesoamerican History course, working on my first Creative Writing assignment, and preparing for Forensic Science tomorrow, we managed to do our reading, math, social sciences, and art. Things might not have gone perfectly, but they certainly started out well. Here's hoping the rest of Spring works out so smoothly!
